time for me to go home, Grandpa.”
When Jude heard her words, he had a long face and asked, “Why are you going home so soon?”

Caroline said with a smile, “I’ve missed you too. How are you doing?”
“I’m doing pretty well.” Jude brought Caroline to sit down on the couch.
He praised, “How about you? I heard you’ve become Evans Group’s CEO, and you’ve been doing a
great job. I’m really proud of you.”

The two chatted for a while. Then, they heard Eddy’s voice from outside the door.
“Grandpa! Grandpa!” His shouts grew louder and louder as he drew closer. Once he came in, he
stopped yelling.
When Jude saw Eddy, he stopped smiling like he usually did. Instead, he frowned and asked
unhappily, “What are you doing back home?”
Eddy was startled when he saw Caroline. In the past, Jude would have tried his best to notify him
whenever Caroline came to visit.
