Early the next morning, as soon as Maxim arrived at the company, a shareholder approached him, starting to question him about the recent incident of the Yoder Group client being poached.
“Mr. Yoder, the company has recently lost many clients. If this continues, the Yoder Group will inevitably go bankrupt!”
“Yeah, recently when I went to do business, many clients‘ intentions were not as strong as before, they obviously tended to cooperate with Kingly Group.”
“If the situation wasn’t reversed soon, I would have no choice but to sell my shares in the Yoder Group!”
Detecting the threat in the other party’s words, Maxim looked at him with a cold expression, “Fine, come to my office now. I’ll have my lawyer come over to estimate the market value of your shares.”
After speaking, he turned around and walked straight into the office, not caring how ugly the faces of the shareholders behind him looked.
It was not until only he and a few other shareholders were left that he spoke with a bewildered expression, “I just made a casual remark… How could Mr. Yoder take it seriously?”
One of the shareholders patted his shoulder sympathetically, “Go prepare to take the money and leave the Yoder Group.”
What Maxim detested the most was shareholders threatening
him with the sale of their shares. Those who had threatened him in the past were either stripped of their rights or expelled from the Yoder Group.
The shareholder furrowed his brow, gritted his teeth and said, “I won’t sell my shares, I won’t sign, let’s see what he can do to me!”
The other party looked at him as if he was a fool, “I advise you to sell your shares now and take the money and leave, so as not to end up with nothing.”
They had all witnessed Maxim’s way of dealing with people, so they dared not provoke him lightly.
He snorted coldly, “I’m going back to my office now, I don’t believe he would dare to come to my office and ask me to sell my shares!”
After speaking, he turned around and quickly walked away.
No matter how I looked at it, that retreating figure just seemed to be fleeing in panic.
Rayan followed Maxim into the office, handing him a document he was holding.
“Mr. Yoder, this was the thing you asked me to investigate.”
Maxim took the file, looked at it for a while, then put it down and said, “Give Sabina a nudge to stir things up, don’t let Zane have time to deal with the Yoder Group. And as for Kathy, since she’s so idle, assign her tasks to the second young master of the Bynes family.”
Rayan nodded, “Alright, I’ll do it right away.”
Haseton’s First Hospital.
Briana Cameron had just finished reviewing and had barely reached the corner when she bumped into a woman wearing a mask.
Both of them almost fell over. Just as Briana Cameron
steadied herself, a sharp voice rang out beside her ear.
“Are you blind?! You even bumped into someone while walking!”
A flash of impatience flickered in Briana Cameron’s eyes. As she lifted her gaze to speak, the other party recoiled several steps as if they had seen a ghost upon seeing her face.
“You… you were dead, weren’t you?!”
Seeing the terror and fear in the other person’s eyes, Briana Cameron furrowed her brows, “Who are you? Do I know you?”
“No, no, no… I didn’t know…”
After speaking, Sabina turned and ran off quickly.
It wasn’t until she ran out of the hospital that she stopped, her mind filled with shock. How could someone who had been dead for three years suddenly come back to life?!
She temporarily had no mind to trouble Mallory again, so she took a taxi and went straight back to the hotel.
Seeing her return so quickly, surprise filled Lewis’s eyes, “That smooth?”
Sabina irritably put down her bag, frowning, “Don’t even
mention it, I saw Briana at the hospital, got a fright, and came
Hearing this, a flash of surprise crossed Lewis’s eyes. He frowned and said, “So it’s all about this? I forgot to tell you, Briana didn’t die. Instead, she transformed and became the adopted daughter of the Cameron family. She even changed her name. Now she’s called Briana Cameron.”
