The Ceo’s Convict Wife by Jennifer Mike Chapter 620

Chapter 620

Once night fell, she fell asleep in her original bedroom. She would be sleeping in his bedroom the night after.

Jonathan sat by the bed and looked at her sleeping face. The mercury-like moonlight shone on him through the window, making him look like a sculpture, which was extremely beautiful with a trace of melancholy.

It was like there were millions of things hidden in his gaze..

After a long time, his eyelashes trembled slightly. He lowered his head and put his lips on the back of her right hand. The kiss was so pious and full of longing.

“Rosalie, do you know how much I love you?”

He murmured, “Even if I’m deceiving myself, I can’t deny my feelings.”

He had always loved her so much.

Rosalie thought it would be difficult for her to fall asleep on the first night of returning to the Youngblood Residence, but she didn’t expect to sleep until the sun rose.

When she opened her eyes, she saw a row of housekeepers standing by the bed, carrying an array of things in their hands, including clothes, shoes, socks, jewelry, and various cosmetics.

Rosalie shuddered at the sight. Her sleepiness had completely vanished from the shock.

“You…”

“Mr. Youngblood requested us to help you, Mrs. Youngblood, to dress today,” answered one of the housekeepers.

Rosalie was startled by the title they addressed her with..

It seemed that was the first time someone had called her with that title.

Yet, it wasn’t technically wrong to address her that way.

“Put them down. I’ll do it myself,” Rosalie hurriedly said.

The housekeeper exchanged glances, put down the things in their hands, and left the bedroom.

After washing up, Rosalie put on the clothes set out for her and looked at herself in the mirror, entranced by what she saw.

It was a white dress with a simple and elegant style, which was perfect for the season.

There were many kinds of cosmetics set out on the tray. Just lipstick itself had 36 colors, let alone the others.

Rosalie thought Jonathan had moved a cosmetic store into his house.

She picked a few from the vast selection, put on light makeup, and simply combed her hair before going downstairs.

However, she was stunned upon walking into the living room. Jonathan was also wearing a white shirt and pants.

They looked like a couple with matching outfits. She wondered if it was an accident or a coincidence.

“Come on, let’s have breakfast first, then go to the City Hall,” Jonathan said.

Rosalie hummed in acknowledgment and walked to the dining table. Jonathan instructed the housekeeper to serve Rosalie her breakfast. A traditional-style meal was served, including coffee, ravioli, and tortellini. All of them were her favorite foods.

While eating breakfast, Rosalie couldn’t help but peek at Jonathan.

He was dressed in all white, looking like a prince from a fairy tale. His angular face and prominent facial features were flawless.

She thought, Am I… really going to marry him?”

Too many things had happened the past few days, which made everything feel unreal.

“I’ll misunderstand that you have a deep love for me if you keep staring at me.” Jonathan suddenly looked up and met her

with his dark eyes.

gaze

Embarrassment washed over Rosalie. “I just…”

“Just what? Just looking? Or do I think he’s really good-looking today?” she wondered.

It seemed that the answer would sound inappropriate no matter how she phrased it.

Rosalie didn’t know how to answer for a moment, so she could only stare at him with her eyes.

Jonathan said airily, “Stop looking at me like that if you don’t love me. It will only give me the wrong idea.”

“Got it,” she replied in a hurry and buried her head in her plate of food.

How was she looking at him earlier? How was it able to give him the wrong idea that she loved him?

Did she still love Jonathan? The man whom she had loved so much before.

After breakfast, Jonathan and Rosalie went to the City Hall. As it was not a special day, there weren’t many people there.

After taking a number, Rosalie and Jonathan sat down in the waiting area. There were three couples before them in line to get married or divorced.

Divorce and marriage were handled at the same counter and shared the same rest area. Thus, it could be a little embarrassing for the couples.

It was a rare sight for Rosalie to see Jonathan having to wait in line. After all, he usually didn’t have to queue up at all. Everyone had already arranged everything for him.

Yet, they were like ordinary people at that moment. They took a number and waited in the waiting area to be called.

Suddenly, the young woman seated next to Rosalie approached her and asked, “Are you here to get married?”

“Yes,” Rosalie answered.

“I can tell by the matching outfits you and your husband are wearing, but your husband is so handsome. He’s better looking than those celebrities,” the woman praised.

Rosalie’s face turned red as if she was a little uncomfortable at hearing others regard Jonathan as her husband.

Jonathan caught their conversation and glanced at the blush on Rosalie’s face. “Are you not used to it?”

“Not really.” Instead of saying she was not used to it, she was a little overwhelmed because she had never experienced it.

“That’s not good. You should get used to it in the future,” Jonathan said.

She thought, “He’s right. Mrs. Youngblood, my husband, and his wife. Once I’m married, I do need to get used to the way people address me.”

He raised his hand and gently stroked her pink cheeks. “We will be a real couple in a while. We’ll never separate in this lifetime, right?”

His words were gentle and soft but impactful, like a boulder crashing into her heart, eliciting huge ripples.

Her hands spread across her abdomen involuntarily. Her face felt hotter, and her heartbeat turned erratic.

The young woman’s eyes sparkled at Jonathan’s and Rosalie’s interaction, suddenly feeling the scene unfolding in front of her was just like a scene in a drama. It was so beautiful.

The man, in particular, had such a handsome face. Was he truly not an idol or a celebrity?

At that thought, the woman secretly took a photo of him with her phone and sent it to her friend, a reporter in the entertainment industry. Naturally, her friend would know about celebrities better than she did.

Not long after she sent the photo, her friend replied, “Where did you see him? Oh my goodness! Do you know who he is?”
